Viewsonic is a manufacturer and provider of visual technologies which includes LCD displays, plasma displays and HDTV.

Viewsonic has released a tablet at the IFA called the Viewsonic Viewpad 7.

The device is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy tablet with a 7 inch capacitative screen, Android 2.2, 3MP webcam 3G and GPS radios. The Android marketplace is on board with Google’s Gmail client, Google Maps and other Google goodies. This makes a complete Google device as opposed to the Toshiba Folio 100 and base model of the E Noa Interpad.

The device is has a lower resolution in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Tab at 80ox 480 and has a 600MHz Cortex A8 processor. Performance would indeed be lower than the Galaxy Tab but at 399 euros, the device is competitively priced.

Quite a decent tablet indeed.
