Matias Duarte(left) and Joshua Topolsky(right)

Matias Duarte was responsible for the user interface (UI) for Palm’s (now HP-Palm) WebOS operating system.

He is now the Director of User Experience for Google’s Android and is the man in charge of developing the user experience for Android 3.0 Honeycomb   ( something I need to cover in a future post). He was interviewed by Engadget’s Editor in Chief – Josh Topolsky at CES(Consumer Electronics Show) 2011.

In the interview, Matias talks about his perceived future of mobile computing which is no doubt a Google dominated one. The interview is worth watching to get a a splinter of a glimpse of what Google has in store for mobile computing.
